Code of Conduct

Men Too Movement welcomes men and allies who want respectful conversation, practical learning, and fair treatment. These expectations apply to community features and activities provided by MTM.

Respect and tone

• Disagree with ideas without degrading people. No slurs, intimidation, or attacks based on sex, race, religion, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or other personal traits.
• Speak from your own experience. Separate what you know from an assumption or something you heard.
• Ask useful questions and leave room for people to decline a conversation. No one owes the community a personal story.

Safety and harassment

• No threats, stalking, repeated unwanted contact, targeted humiliation, or coordinated harassment.
• No encouragement of violence or self-harm, or instructions to hurt someone.
• No pressure to contact a person who has asked for no contact or to ignore a court restriction.

MTM is not an emergency response service. For urgent outside support, use the help directory.

Privacy and consent

• Do not post addresses, phone numbers, account secrets, children’s identities, identifying case files, or another person’s private records.
• Remove names and identifying details from examples. Do not post accusations naming private individuals as a way to rally others against them.
• Do not repost private messages, recordings, or someone’s story without appropriate permission.
• Do not infer someone’s identity or location from a profile, state total, or community discussion.

Forum posts are public and chat is shared. A hidden message may still exist in stored records. Review the Privacy Policy before sharing.

Constructive content

• No scams, spam, repetitive promotion, or misleading offers of help.
• No pornography, explicit sexual material, or graphic violence. Experiences of abuse can be discussed without graphic descriptions or images.
• Credit reliable sources. Do not invent quotations, credentials, partnerships, or outcomes.
• Use discussion to exchange support and learning, not to investigate, expose, or punish another person.

Professional and legal boundaries

MTM materials and peer comments are general information, not legal representation, counseling, or a decision about anyone’s case. Do not impersonate a professional or official, promise a result, or instruct someone to tamper with evidence, intimidate a witness, commit fraud, or evade an order. Use a qualified professional for individual advice.

Moderation

Moderators may hide content, restrict participation, or ban accounts in response to conduct concerns. A severe issue can lead to action without a warning. Moderation is a community decision, not a finding by a court or a guarantee about the truth of a disputed account.

Removing content from normal display and closing a report are different actions. Records may remain available for review. If you want to ask about an action affecting your account, use Contact with a short explanation; do not create another account to bypass a restriction.

Report a concern

Use the report control where available. A report requests review; it does not automatically remove the source content. For another concern, use Contact with the page address and a brief description. Do not repost the harmful or identifying material to draw attention to it.
